April Concerts

As the sun sets, experience the vibrant, nightlife atmosphere by attending one of the many concerts coming this April. Montreal is known for its diverse and rich music scene and attracts some of the best artists from across the globe. Shows range from small and intimate, to large and exciting, and will be sure to please anyone looking for weekend entertainment.

Consider attending a concert by several big name musical artists coming to Montreal in April, including Nickleback, Snow Patrol, and Death Cab for Cutie. The Northern Ireland group, Snow Patrol, known for their hit single Chasing Cars and winner of 6 prestigious music awards, will be sure to provide an eclectic and thrilling concert. The alternative rock band Death Cab for Cutie will also be making a stop this April to entertain audiences with their melodic and melancholy material.

Snow Patrol will be playing on April 16th at the Metropolis, Death Cab for Cutie on April 20th at the Eglise Saint-Jean Baptiste, and Nickleback on April 21st at the Centre Bell. Ticket prices vary, but most can be purchased online, over the phone, or at the theater.

Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition

How can Luke and Anakin grow up on the same planet, share the same genes, yet be such different people? Through a behind the scenes look at the Star Wars saga, researchers and analysts at the Montreal Science Center seek to answer these questions and more at the Star Wars Identities exhibit this April. Both children and adults will enjoy looking at the timeless movie series like never before.

Visitors can view a collection of props, models, and artwork from the Lucasfilms archives, including a Darth Vader costume, Millenium Falcon model, and a life-size podracer. Through this interactive exhibit, attendees will learn not only about the movie, but also themselves as scientists explain the social, genetic, and environmental processes that compose human character.

The Exhibit will run from April 19th to September 16th, 2012. Tickets can be purchased online for $13 for kids and $23 for adults. Tickets to the exhibition also include general admission to the museum. For any fan of the Star Wars series, this event should not be missed.
