A Meeting at Hotel St. Paul: Comfortable, Sophisticated, and in 3D
Last week, I headed to Montreal for a business conference and stayed at the Hotel St. Paul. Due to a busy meeting schedule I had little time for sightseeing. Luckily, the Hotel St. Paul's meeting spaces and relaxing accommodations made the trip productive and memorable.
Since I was at the Hotel St. Paul for a business conference, it was important for me that there were meeting spaces that were professional but not stark or sterile. The conference I attended was held in Salle 1, which features numerous windows that let in plenty of natural light (huge plus for full-day meetings). After the conference, I went to a reception in the Atrium, whose warm color scheme was inviting yet sophisticated.
Hotel St. Paul offers a variety of choices for meeting spaces, including Salle 2, 3, and 4, the Atrium, and Le Lounge Vauvert. The Hotel St. Paul's unique 3D Meeting Planner allows conference organizers to compare different meeting spaces and try out different configurations based on the type of event being held. For anyone who's had to plan a meeting at a hotel in the past, this is really in invaluable feature, and really sets Hotel St. Paul apart from other meeting spaces I've experienced.
After my conference, I joined my colleagues at the Vauvert Restaurant, located in the Hotel St. Paul. I ordered the Seafood Linguini, which comes with a lobster base sauce, fresh tomatoes, truffles, and Thai basil. It was, in a word, delicious. At first, I wasn't sure if I had room for dessert, but after browsing through the menu, I changed my mind. I ordered Tarte Tatin, a French-style upside-down tart with caramelized apples, shortbread, vanilla ice cream and salted caramel. After a few minutes, I look down and noticed that I had completely cleaned my plate.
After dinner, I headed to my room at the Hotel St. Paul. With its understated, pastel décor and double beds, the Superior room I stayed in provided the perfect oasis after a long day. The wireless internet made it easy for me to do some last-minute business at the end of the day. Before bed, nothing felt better than relaxing in the spacious tub and donning one of the hotel's luxurious bathrobes.
The Hotel St. Paul is great for work and play. I'd highly recommend staying at the Hotel St. Paul regardless of whether you're in town for business, leisure, or even a bit of both.
