Montreal En Lumiere
Join 900,000 fans in celebrating wintertime at one of the largest winter festivals in the world. Known for its gastronomical delicacies and vibrant light shows, Montreal En Lumiere brings light to the gloom of winter. Choose from various free activities that feature music, circus arts, dance, and theatre.
Montreal En Lumiere winter festival is located at a free outdoor site in the center of Quartier des Spectacles and includes a recently constructed ice-skating rink. Although primarily known for its fine wine and decadent food, families will enjoy fair games, horse-drawn wagon rides, and gingerbread cookie decorating, among an array of other activities.
Concerts feature local and well-known artists from across the globe. From the 20th of February to the 2nd of March, attendees will enjoy the sounds of Theophilus London, The Barr Brothers, and Cour de Pirate, among other artists. Venues are located across Montreal and concerts are often accompanied with light shows.
On the final day, the city of Montreal participates in over 200 activities from 6 p.m until dawn. A free shuttle links all events and festivities that include sled racing, concerts, and other outdoor activities. This final event, known as Nuite Blanche, is notorious for its explosive energy and will satisfy anyone seeking adventure on a budget.
