30th Annual International Festival of Films on Art
The International Festival of Films on Art celebrates its 30th year in production with an abundance of artistic talent on the big screen. The festival has captured the attention of hundreds of art and film enthusiasts throughout the world with an array of diverse movies that should not go unseen.
The International Festival of Films on Art spans over 10 days and features over 280 films from 25 different countries that highlight a breadth of artistic talent that range from tattooing to circus arts. Sponsored by the Montreal Art Museum, FIFA became a non-profit in 1983 and has since attracted prize-winning films and thousands of fans to Montreal.
Arguably the most important art film festival in the world, FIFA’s primary mission is to “increase public awareness, knowledge and appreciation of the arts by promoting works by artists and professionals from the fields of film, television and video.” To do so, they strive to incorporate both local and international productions into their festival program. After such hard work and dedication, this can’t-miss event is bound to please.
To view the films on painting, dance, sculpture, architecture and more, tickets can be purchased over the phone for around $12 each depending on the event. Showings will be held at various venues throughout Montreal and will cater to any artistic interest.
